How to embed google maps to your hosted events

What ever be the event whether it's your wedding, B'day party, get together, organizing a trekking event, you might invite your friends over an email to a place. If you are using Gmail or any other Google service then you might use Google maps directly but what is you are using non-google service which doesn't have an integration with Google maps. You can still do that and all you need to do is just embed Google Maps.

Say, you have a WordPress account and you want to invite people for a photography event that is hosted by you in a hall at home. You might update your website with the event details along with the location. Also, it would be very helpful for people to find location if you were to embed Google Maps in your blog or website.

To embed Google maps in your website here are few steps that you need to follow. Say, I want to host an event in Mangalore.

• Open Google Maps and search for my location - 'Mangalore' where I want to host an event.


• As shown in the image below (marked in red), when you select map settings - you get an option to either share or embed Google maps.


• Click on it. If you want to share just the link then click on share option.


• But if you want to embed Google maps then click on 'Embed Maps'.


• Select the overall display size of the map, copy the code and paste it in your blog post.

It's better to embed Google maps in your website or any of the events that are hosted. By just looking at the location address or a rough maps, it's hard to find out where exactly the location is. Instead by embedding maps, your event visitors will get the exact location using Google maps and reach your event on time.
