How to save Web Pages as PDF using Chrome

If you ever wanted to take print or just to wanted to save web pages as PDF, then there are too many add-ins and extensions available in the Apps store that can do this for you. But if you have got Chrome browser installed in your computer then you can happily uninstall all of these add-ins or apps or extensions as Chrome has an in-built feature in it.  It's very simple and this is how you do it.

  • Open any webpage using chrome browser installed in your machine.

  • Go to Menu items and click on print or just Ctrl+P.

  • As shown in the image click on Destination. By default, there will be a printer selected. From the list under Destination select Save as PDF. You even have the option to directly save it in Google Drive.

  • Click on Save and give the location or path and it will be saved a PDF file in your computer.

This is helpful when you do your online payment and want to save a copy of your online receipt. I have been doing this by saving receipts or other important online stuffs as PDFs and then save it online in SkyDrive, Dropbox or Google Drive.

  13. It should be noted that this will use the print style of the website and not what you see on screen. So if you need a 1:1 rendering of your page in PDF format and the site has a print stylesheet, this will not work. FYI
