It's hard to track expense and maintain in an excel sheet, also to make adjustments to your excel sheet.
There are apps in Google play store for Android devices and in app store for iPhone devices. I have been experimenting with many apps on my android device for few months now. Not all apps are good but few are really good. Some apps work really well but once there is too much data - say more than a month's data, all data will be messed up and this is not something that we want.
It might be a bit hard to make an entry of your expense everyday but I would say it's worth doing and also it will not take more than 10 sec to update. Some of the apps ask for your bank details to keep a track of everything in real time or you can enter it manually. Well, I will go with the second one as I don't like giving my bank details to an app.
