URL Droplet transfers files from their host directly to your Dropbox account. Follow the following steps:
- Go to URL Droplet.
- Create an account and authorise this with Dropbox account.
- Copy the download link and paste it in URL droplet.
- Click on Save.
- Open Dropdox and you will find your file.
This is very useful if Dropbox is blocked at your work place or any other place where you don't have access to Dropbox and you want to continue saving files to your Dropbox account. This online tool is free for Droplets up to 30MB after which you will have to subscribe to basic or unlimited edition.
Let me know if you know any other online tools that can be synced with Dropbox or any other online storage service. Recently I had written a post on how to transfer large files to Dropbox via Email even if there is no access to Dropbox. Check out this [link] if you are interested in knowing more.
is this similar to Box?
ReplyDeleteI believe Box is more like Dropbox.. and URL droplet is a 3rd party app which uses Dropbox API.
