How to Auto Tweet your old posts

If you are a frequent blogger with too many posts on Wordpress then you will have lot of posts in the archived section. Usually people auto tweet or post on social networking sites as soon as a post is published. But what if you have got some ever green content like Photography, How To tips like mine etc, you can publish your old posts and there are chances that you get more followers on twitter and also more traffic to your website.

Tweet Old Post - is one such Wordpress plugin which will help you in doing this job for free. Install this plugin from Wordpress and in the settings you have option to customize everything.  If you have some contents which are outdated or not every green then you can exclude such posts and Tweet Old Post will not auto tweet these posts. While posting you can include only the Title or Body or both and also, you can include your own text. You can even add text at the end of the tweet and have an option to include link. While auto posting on you twitter this plugin offers users with URL shortner service like is.dg, su.pr, bit.ly, tr.im, 3.ly, u.nu, 1click.at and tinyurl. You can also create hashtags from categories, tags or your custom fields. There is an option to set interval between each of the posts and also set date - something like posts older than 15 days to infinity. You can even omit tweets from some of the categories and also, check logs for all your activities.

This is one of the best auto tweet plugins I have ever used till date, highly customizable and I like using this plugin. This plugin is only for bloggers using Wordpress. One important thing which I have been expecting was to add multiple twitter accounts, as of now we can add only one twitter account. Hope this will be added in the next version. Give it a try, it will bring alive all your old archived posts and get more traffic to your website.

  1. I can't get mine to work. Seems to be some sort of problem loading up the app!

  2. Just tweet the app developer and he will reply to your query. I had some question and that developer replied in no time.

  3. If you are using Wordpress for blogging you can try using the plugin 'Buffer My Post'.
Schedule this Plugin to randomly add your blog posts to buffer and get more hits.
