All of us want our blog or website to be the best and we always look for quality and high traffic. There are many softwares to track both online and offline, but these softwares don't give an update too frequently. They usually take their own time, sometimes more than a week to update.
The below image shows stats from Alexa traffic rank showing how my website is performing worldwide and in the country where I'm located - here it's India. Rank one being the best and worst being the highest number.
The rank mentioned in Alexa shows a rough estimate of a website's popularity and is updated more frequently. You can check any website's traffic rank to know how its performing and compare it with your website. The worldwide rank according to Alexa is calculated using a combination of average daily visitors to your website and pageviews on your website over the past three months. The site with the highest combination of visitors and pageviews is ranked number one. So, more the number of visitors and pageviews higher will the Alexa rank be.
Similarly Alexa's website traffic rank in Country is a rough estimate of your website's popularity in a specific country. Traffic rank by your country is calculated using a combination of average daily visitors to your website and pageviews on your website from users from your country over the past month. So, in your country the website with the highest combination of visitors and pageviews is ranked number one. In the above image - to the right, my all India rank is shown.
You can either check your website traffic rank on Alexa website or just add Alexa extension to your Google Chrome browser. Checking your website in Alexa will give you more details and becoming a pro member will give even more details on how your website is performing. Note that you can check any websites performance and not just your website. Also, these numbers - rank will change almost everyday.
