You might have seen many websites like photo sharing sites, online news paper, games, or even while commenting on an article, there is a registration form which you need to fill. This is usually done to avoid spam. But many websites these days don't ask you to fill up forms instead, they ask you to login to their website using your Facebook, Google or Twitter account. You might have logged into multiple websites using your Facebook account details for some time now and it might be hard to keep a track on what those are. What if you want to revoke access to Facebook apps or these websites?
I have seen people complaining that when you login to a website using your Facebook account, whatever you like or comment will be posted on your Facebook wall and is visible to all. But what they don't realize is when they use their Facebook account to login, they blindly click on next button without checking the content in the pop-up. You get an option to make it public (usually by default), or with your friends or only to yourself.
To revoke access to Facebook app or to view all the apps/websites to which you have given access, just go to Facebook settings and to the left side click on 'Apps' as shown. The below image shows the list of apps and websites to which I have logged in using my Facebook account. This is one single place where I can view all apps, control settings to each of the app like the privacy settings, who can view my posts or the likes and comments that I make on websites and revoke access to Facebook apps.
Note that on Facebook your username, profile pic, cover pic, username, gender, networks, like to apps, followers etc are always kept public including the apps that you use. These apps that you use also have access to your friends list and all the information that you make it available for public. It always better to keep an eye on this app list and revoke access to Facebook apps when not being used else, the list just keeps growing.
