Funny Facebook face recognition

This is more of a funny post than a How-To post that I saw this morning while uploading photos to my personal Facebook profile.  I had uploaded multiple pics and along with that was one funny human face painting. While uploading photos to Facebook , the face recognition software auto detected faces as shown below.

Facebook auto detects human faces using it's face recognition / detection software which is built-in and you don't need to install any app for this. I'm not sure why it doesn't detect some of the faces sometimes (I'm speaking of real humans and not paintings or photos), where as it can sometimes detect faces which are not real humans and paintings.

In the above image some of my photos where detected and to some it even recommended my name to save it as tags. The funny thing is it detected even the face that was painted - which was placed in the beach in front of a shop. Thank god it did not tag my name or any of my friend's name and had asked me who is it. Funny things do happen sometimes; like last time, a dog's face was detected and had asked me to tag. Not sure, if the Facebook's face recognition algorithm was meant to detect dogs as well or was the testing incomplete.

When iPhone and android released face recognition to unlock their phone there were too much noise around on how secure it is. Say, I want to unlock my phone and my phone can always see my pic by capturing my face using the front facing camera. But what if I have lost my phone. Someone might use my Facebook photo and show it in font of camera and the phone's face recognition software might thing that i'm the real person standing in front of it and might unlock my phone. This is why I recommend not to use the face recognition software. Leave a comment if something similar had happened to you as well.
