Most of us browse different websites and if we like some of their posts or if there is an interesting article to read further, then we either follow them on social media or subscribe to their website by entering our Email ID. Similarly, you can subscribe to this website by entering your email ID in the sidebar to get latest updates.
If you have an Android device with Android 4 and above or with Google Now installed (with latest updates) then you get website update notification, specially for blogs when ever there is a new blog post. You will be notified when a website you visited recently is updated with fresh content. Good if you are following a blog closely.

I accessed my own website to check the modifications that I did to the mobile version of my blog. After this I wrote a new blog post and published this newly written post. And I could see this message as shown here which says - "Update to website you recently visited".
This is a common message to most of the Google Now users, but how to make use of it matters. Say, you have read part 1 of an article in my blog and you are waiting for the part 2 of it. You don't really need to follow the blog instead Google Now will show you this notification.

As of this writing, Google Now doesn't show updates for all the recently visited websites. Also, this may not be shown always even though you have enabled this in Google Now. If you don't like you just need to swipe it out and you even have an option to completely disable these website update notifications.
Note that if you want website update notification then irrespective of the machine or device that you use, you need to signin to chrome browser with the same account you use with Google Now. In addition to this you need to sync your browsing history. In simple words, you just need to login to the same gmail account which ever machine or mobile device that you use. Sync will be done automatically. Once this is done you will automatically get website update notification.
