How to create personalized email signatures

You might have seen email signatures that are at the end of email after the email content. Some of these look really professional where as other are like kind of OK. There are many tools and softwares available, both paid and free in the market that can create one for your personal as well as business use.

Most of the email services like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo etc have their own inbuilt option to add email signatures. But these have very limited features. And most of the softwares or tools with good features are not available for free.

Email signatures using WiseStamp

Here is an app as well as an extension on Google Chrome store named 'WiseStamp' using which you can create professional looking email signatures. What I love the most about this extension is it has too many options and most of them are free. If you want even more which is really not needed, maybe for professional or business email signatures then you can go for Pro version for which you need to pay.

Here is a sample signature that I use in my Gmail account without using any of the templates or formats. There are many freely available templates and formats that you can use. As you can see here, it has pulled this photo from my Facebook profile as I have logged in using my Facebook account and while doing so it will pull other information like email, location, website, company name etc. You have an option to edit all of these information before creating email signatures.

Other features include:

  • personalizing and designing of your signature for both personal and business - using which you can change template, font & color, add picture or logo, update information.

  • you can easily add your social profiles to your signature twitter, Facebook Page, Google Plus Page, profiles, Pinterest, YouTube, Tumblr etc.

  • You can promote what you like the most - your latest blog post, promote your product, your twitter or facebook status and many more.

  • You can trasnform your email into business opportunity by adding Linkedin profile, link to your CV or business info, map location etc.

  • There are many more options that are available with few more in the Pro version.

It's nice to have professional looking email signatures than having just an ordinary one. Keep your signature simple but with all possible details and social links. Also, you can have a link to your website with the latest post. This will not only bring traffic to your website but also increase your social followers, which can bring more revisits to your website. The free version has too many features and you hardly need to upgrade it to Pro. Note that for the signature to work, you need to work on a chrome browser profile where the extension is installed. Also, don't forget to disable the default signature provided by your email service provider, else there will be 2 signatures. Give it a try.
