How to watch videos and clear your YouTube watch History

All of us watch YouTube videos but did you know that others can view your YouTube search history and watch videos that you had watched. If you are using a common machine at office or home or in a cyber then don't forget to logout. Here is what you need to know.

Say, you have watched a video which has some cruel content or some war photography videos where it's all about killing and blood. And your family members or kids use the same laptop, tablet or a computer with the same browser. These kids can easily watch videos that you were watching by looking at YouTube History. Whenever you watch videos on YouTube, it will be saved in YouTube history, provided you have logged into your YouTube account. To view videos that you have watched just login to YouTube. To the left click on 'History' and you will find multiple options like 'Clear all watch history', 'pause watch history' etc as shown below.

I would recommend you to watch videos in incognito window of your browser or without logging in. But usually videos with cruel, war, adult content etc will not be shown on YouTube. It will first ask you to login just to check that you are not under aged. Once verified, you can watch videos. You have an option in YouTube history to 'pause'. When this is enabled, YouTube will not record all your watched video activities/history. And will resume only once you re-enable it. The other way is to delete individual videos from YouTube history which might take more time to search and delete.

Note that only you can view your watch history when you have logged in. It's always better to keep the watch history clean unless you want to view your videos later on again. You never know if someone is spying on you when you are away or if you have logged in to YouTube service by mistake.
