It's great fun to chat with your friends on Facebook. But not all are happy with Facebook chat specially when someone is pinging you and you are just too busy to reply or just not interested in replying to their message. You could have easily ignored it before, but now Facebook has made changes and looks more like Whatsapp.

Whenever two or more friends chat on Facebook, 'Seen By' appears when a friend of yours views the last message. It's good to know that the other person had seen your message, even if he/she has not responded to you. So, you are sure that your friend has received that message and also 'Seen By' can confirm that your message has been viewed. Not many like this and this is a question of privacy.

Say, you are busy at work and someone is repeatedly pinging you (or irritating you) on Facebook chat and you have seen this Facebook chat message but have no time to respond. And if the other person receives a message saying 'Seen By Ravindra' then my friend might think that even after seeing the message he has not responded without knowing that i'm busy at work.

There are multiple ways to fix this using different chrome extensions and softwares. All that you need to do is block the below URL so that the status will remain unchanged.

Google chrome extensions include 'Facebook Unseen', 'Messenger Unseen on Facebook', and 'SeenBlock'. These extensions can hide when ever you see your friend's messages by blocking the seen feature. Some of these extensions will also block the 'typing' in addition to 'seen' feature. These extensions or plugins are available for Chrome as well as Firefox browsers. These extensions work with group conversation, one-to-one conversation, chat box and messages inbox. You even have an option to send 'seen' option manually in some of these extensions like SeenBlock. Give it a try if you want to and let me know if it was helpful. You may also try a software named - 'Chat Undetected' which does the same job.
