Now that the Google Reader will enter History Books there are many other third party apps taking advantage of this, you are forced to use these apps to continue with all your news updates. Well, if you are using outlook then there is a way to import all you bookmarks from Google reader to Outlook. This is how you do it:- Go to Google takeout and pull out the Reader data. Check my previous post on How to export data using Google Takeout. Once you have pulled out data in zip format, download the zip file and copy the subscriptions.xml to you computer where outlook is installed. Open outlook and to the right you will find RSS Feeds. Right click on RSS Feeds and from the list click on import an OPML File. In the pop-up click on browse for the subscription.xml file and click on next. On clicking next a list of RSS Feeds that were imported appears. Select the Feeds that you want and click on next. The selected RSS Feeds appear, click on finish. There will be a folder created with the blog name inside which you will find all the articles/posts.
You can even add new RSS Feed if you know the feed URL. As shown in the above image, Click on Add a New RSS Feed and give the feed link. That's it.
