You might have browsed too many sites and usually the webpage content that you get from a search engine will directly take you to a post in the website which will not be too long. But, what if the content is too long or what if you are in the home page of a website and the webpage is too long and you need to scroll down a lot to go to the end. You will have to either scroll down or use the side bar and find out where the heading or the content is in the entire webpage.
To avoid this there is an app in Google Chrome Store using which all the headings and sub headings will be shown in the sidebar as shown. This will help you in identifying the content easily by just looking at the scroll bar. Install "Scrollbar of Contents" chrome extension from Chrome Store. Once you install this extension on chrome browser it generates clickable markers for all the headings of a webpage and places them at the right place in the scroll bar. All that you need to do it just click on the markers to navigate to that content.
These markers are very helpful when navigating through lengthy webpages. You can enable or disable these markers by clicking on the extension icon or logo. When you hover over these markers the entire heading will be displayed as shown above. You even have an option to minimize these markers so that it will not distract while reading. Customizing these markers is easy, just go to its extension 'options' to customize the way you want. Also, these markers will reposition itself when you resize the browser window. Give it a try.
