When you share photos on social media or using other photo sharing tools in public, you never know if your photos are being reused somewhere and the right credit may not be given to your photo when others share. One way stop this is adding watermark on photos that you want to share. Adding watermark is up to you and I usually do that.
There are multiple ways to add watermark to your photos. But if you are looking for adding watermark to your photos using Lightroom, then here is the way to do it. Follow the following steps:
- Open Lightroom and import an image or use library to fetch an image.
- In Library mode, go to Edit >> Edit WaterMarks..
- Watermark Editor
- By default the dropdown to the left top corner points to custom. You can select already saved preset or restore default presets.
- You have an option to add watermark as plain text or as graphics.
- Under plain text, you have text options and can change effects etc.
- And if you choose graphics, then you get only the change effects option.
- In the text field type in the text that you want to be displayed. Maybe your name or company name etc as shown below.
- Once you have finalized, click on save to set the preset. By doing so, you can use this preset in future by selecting the preset from top left dropdown.
- Watermak on photos will appear. You can add watermark on one photo or multiple photos.
- Export the photo by selecting the preset in future to have the same watermark on all photos.

This is to add watermarks and not delete. And this holds good for all the files supported by Lightroom.
