Say, you have a photography website and you keep uploading more photos on Facebook. You are sure to have followers on Facebook and what if you want more number of followers on Facebook? There is an option to add Facebook follow button to your website and this will help you increase the number of followers. This is more like RSS feed, all your public posts that you make on your Facebook profile will be visible to all your followers.
Most of the networking sites these days have a business page or a fan page that users can create and add the follow button on websites. But facebook has both a fan page button and also a follow button that you can add to your website. Here is how you can add it:
- Go to Facebook Settings (Account or Privacy Settings).
- To the left click on 'Followers'.
- Enable 'Turn on Followers'
- On enabling, you get other options like Followers Comments, Followers Notifications, username and also follow plugin. You can even connect to your twitter account here.
- Under 'Follow Plugin' there is a code and this code is the one which you need to embed in your website to have a Facebook follow button.
Note that I'm not speaking about Facebook Page, it's about your personal profile. What ever content is posted or uploaded as public will be visible to all your followers. So, be careful not to make your personal pics public as your followers can see that. This way you can add social media button to website to increase the number of followers.
