How to know if your website feed is detectable

Usually website or blog owners think that they have a perfect blog with good content. Here is my story: I have registered my blog under one of the blogging community but recently came to know that my website did not have any rank and got a message from them saying 'my website feed was not detectable'. I did not know about this at all. Even though there was no modification that was done from my end. But luckily this time there was no issue from my end. It was just not detected by their crawl engine. After sending few email, I got my website rank and was happy to know that I got a good score.

But how to make sure if your website feed is detectable to other users or readers. Just to be on safer side, it always better to check it yourself instead of someone saying that your website feed isn't working after a long time. By the time you know about this, you might have lost too many of your followers and also your revisiting post viewers who bring more traffic to your website.

• Click on 'check'.


• If your website feed is working fine then you get a message saying "Congratulations. This is a valid RSS feed".


• If not, then you get a different message like "I looked for a feed associated with this page, but couldn't find one".
