How to check website traffic stats within Wordpress

Google Analytics gives an excellent stats on multiple things like traffic, source, bounce rate, etc. There are just too many things under Google Analytics to monitor your website performance. But what if you want to check website traffic stats within Wordpress in the dashboard or admin panel as shown below.

website traffic stats

There is a plugin in Wordpress named - Jetpack. Jetpack has multiple sub add-ins which will all be installed as a single pack. Once you install Jetpack, check for "WordPress.com Stats". See that you enable this free option inside Jetpack. Once saved you traffic stats will appear in the Wordpress dashboard. To see more details on your site stats click on 'View All'. Under view all option you will find detailed traffic details like total traffic for that day, week, month etc. You can compare traffic with the highest, lowest values and also how your website is performing in terms of number of visitors. I have been using this for a while to check website traffic stats and the updates are instant.

As per Jetpack collecting these stat details will not increase your server load time. Jetpack has many other useful sub add-ins and best things is most of them are free. Some of these sub add-ins are enabled by default and some are not, which the admin will have to enable it manually. Note that when you get an update to install the latest version of this plugin, install it and see that this plugin is reactivated. I had a bit of issues earlier after installing the latest updates and forgot to reactivate it. Usually the plugin will be reactivated automatically without any issues. If it's not then activate it manually so that you don't miss out on stats as shown above.
