How to add Contact Form to Wordpress

Want to add contact form to your 'Contact Us' page or any other page or blog post that you want ? You can always use Google docs by creating a form under Google Forms and select one of the default templates or create one of your own. Once the form is ready, you can embed the code to your blog code. There are multiple ways to do that. You can either write your own code or use one of the plugins available if you don't want to modify the code to add contact form to Wordpress.

One such widely used plugin is 'Contact Form 7'. Follow the following steps to install and add contact form to Wordpress blog or website hosted using Wordpress.

  • Login to admin page of your Wordpress blog and navigate to dashboard.

  • Under plugins search for 'Contact Form 7' and install this plugin.

  • Once installed, activate/enable this plugin.

  • Go back to Wordpress Dashboard and to the right you will find 'Contact' option.

  • By default there will be a contact form. You can add your own form by creating one. To add contact form, default should be more than enough.

  • Now go to the 'Contact Us' page that you have already created or the post where you want to add contact form.

  • Click on Edit page/post, and on top right next to 'Add Media' there is another button 'Add Contact Form'.

  • Click on 'Add Contact Form', here you can edit the fields that you want to add or remove like Name, Email, Website, Comment, Checkbox, Drop down, Radio, Text andText area.

  • Once this is done, click on 'Add this form to my post'.

  • Once the post or page is submitted or published, the same will appear on the post or page that's live.

I have used this form in my 'Contact Us' page. If you use this plugin you will not have an option to add image within this plugin that you would like to have it on post or page. Instead you can add a image while writing the page or post outside this plugin or if you are using Google Forms then there are default templates. I would recommend using this plugin as its simple and easy to use and it's not necessary for you to have any coding knowledge.
