How to place Ads in a website

You might have seen different Ads in a website and blogs placing ads in different locations. Usually these ads are nothing but a small piece of code with a link to another site or to purchase an item. This code is placed in an ideal location where users can see and easily make sales or money out of the click or purchase. For a website owner or a blogger with technical knowledge or a bit of knowledge on coding it easy to place ads in a website in the location that he/she wants. But what about those who do not have that knowledge.

Usually most of the blogs come with a sidebar and it's easy to place ads on sidebar as you just need to place this piece of code in one of the widgets. Similarly you can place banner ads on header and footer of your website. These ads will appear in all the pages and posts. But what about those ads which appear in between the post or just below the post heading as shown in my blog. If you place the same piece of code inside the post, this ad will appear for that particular post and not in all other pages or posts. This is good when you write an article on a particular product and you can place ads of that product so that users can buy directly from the post. Example, Say you have written an article on Tripod and you can place an ad from Amazon or Flipkart shown this product and a link to buy this product.

If you are writing an article and if you want your Ads in a website to appear in between posts then here is something that you can try. This is for websites or blogs with Wordpress. There is a plugin named "Ad Injection" which can be downloaded and installed in Wordpress. You need not know any coding to implement ads on your website or blog while using this plugin. Once installed, go to 'inject ad' plugin settings and place the ads in the field that you want. You can place ad code in any of these - Top ad which is below the post title, Random ad which is in between posts, bottom ads and footer ads. These Random ads can appear anywhere in the post and you can also set the number of times you want this random ads to appear. Also, you can customize the way you want these random ads to appear. It doesn't really make sense if you set these random ads to appear 3 or 4 times when you blog post has hardly 300 words, as this will only irritate visitors and they will find ads everywhere and not the content that they were looking for. You need to be careful when you select this option because if visitors get irritated then they might leave/close the blog post and it will only increase the bounce rate.

There are many other options that you can set using this plugin like you can set the maximum number of ads that can appear in a webpage or post. This is useful if you are using Google adsense, as they allow only three ads in a webpage. Note that this plugin is not just for Google Adsense. I have experimented placing ad codes form other similar ad networks like Chitika and Infolinks. It's very easy to add, remove and modify ads all from this plugin and you don't have to bother about others like placing the ads in between the post or the exact location etc. This plugin is very helpful and easy to use. Give it a try.
