How to hide existing posts from Facebook Timeline

I have been posting too many things on Facebook and other social media. Some of them are from my own blog, some of from my pages, liked few posts of others and shared on many articles. Even though I knew that all these will be recorded under my timeline I did not really care about it until end of the year when Facebook released some update where you can view all the important activities that I did the entire year from my Facebook Timeline.

When I clicked on this option to view all achievements, instead of showing the main things, my likes and shares were dominating more than what I actually did. The reason is simple, while sharing any post, likes or shares there is an option which I should have marked it as 'disable from timeline'.

If you have already updated or posted many posts on Facebook and if it's already appearing under your Facebook Timeline then there is an option to hide the already posted posts from Facebook Timeline.

As you can see in the above image marked there is an option under Account Log >> Your Posts. When you click on 'Your Posts' all your activities like sharing, uploading, likes games etc will appear in the list. This doesn't depend on how you have shared it. It can be public or private. Note that when you share your Facebook timeline with public, only public posts are visible to outsiders.

To the right corner of each post, there appears a small pencil mark. Click on it and you get a small list of options. By default, your posts will be set to 'Allowed on Timeline'. The other options include Highlight and Hidden from timeline. For each of the posts that are already published, you will have to manually select 'Hide from timeline' option to hide it from your Facebook timeline. The best option is to disable it when you initially upload or post an activity on Facebook.
