How to create online poll in Google Plus

You might have seen websites with online poll requesting you to fill in or select one of the options. As of this writing there is no default option in Google Pus to create an online poll. What if you want to update your status message where you want to have polls so that users can select one of the options or have an online survey. There are no apps or plugins that can be embedded within Google Plus.

In other social sites like Facebook there are apps available to create your own online poll. All that you need to do is grant access to these apps and use these apps. There is a simple workaround in Google Plus. Here is how you can create an online poll within Google Plus without any add-in or apps.

• In the status update field, type in the message as shown in the image below. Before sharing, see that your status update or post is made public. Once this is done click on publish.


• Within no time type-in the online poll options in the comment field. See that each of the options are typed in as new comments as shown below.


• Once you have completed typing all the options, go to post settings dropdown and disable comments. This has to be really quick else some one else may comment on this.


• Now, users can see this poll within Google Plus and with options to select from the comments. All that they need to do is a +1 to select one of the options.


• Also, you can embed this online poll in your website. If you are not sure how to do that then check - How to embed Google Plus posts to your blog.


• Note that this is just a workaround and you don't have much options here. Also, you will have to be really quick in doing this.

The same can be done on Facebook without using any apps. But I recommend using apps on Facebook as there is no options to block commenting and your poll options might be lost somewhere along with other comments.
