Many of us have a good DSLR, but the sad thing is people other than photographers love to go with the Auto mode than trying some of the things in manual mode. The reason is simple, they don't want to mess up with the image or they are not interested knowing about ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, light etc. Simple short cut is Auto Mode, but to be honest Manual mode has more features and you can be more creative with it.
Reading books and trying that using your camera is one way, but might be boring for others. Here is a way where you can learn about the settings without reading those books and try all of these settings using an app. You don't even need a camera to try all these. Using 'Right Click' app for Android device you can try all of the manual settings without an actual camera. You can download and install this app from Play Store for free.

Here are some of the features that you can expect out of this app:
- View Mode: In this mode you can try most of the functions available on actual camera. You can select the camera make like Canon or Nikon and it will display some of the widely used features. You can play around with all the functions using this app before you use the actual camera.
- Read Mode: This is to understand the factors affecting the photograph in a textual way. This will be helpful and you can use the same settings when you try with the actual camera.
- Photography Styles: You can try different styles in this mode.
I would recommend using this app before you buy or try with your actual DSLR and get yourself familiarised with the manual mode, functions and other settings. Note that this app is supported on devices which has Android 2.2 and above. Give it a try and leave a comment on what you think about this app.
